The Story Behind The Name
This is Melanie. The name Opened Jars holds a special place in my heart. As a small child, I held a tightly sealed makeup jar in my tiny hands. Unable to open the lid, I asked God to open it for me. I fully expected Him to loosen it, but to my amazement, when I lowered my hand, the lid was unscrewed and teetering on the mouth of the jar! He had profoundly answered my prayer. This moment became a cornerstone of my faith, a reminder of God’s attentiveness to our prayers, no matter how small we are. He loves us this much!

Later, I discovered a deeper layer to the name. Just as God opened that jar, He also delights in opening the mysteries of His heart to us through meditation on His Word. The revelation of this intimacy with God fuels the work of Opened Jars Ministry.

At Opened Jars Ministry, our mission is to guide individuals into a deeper understanding of God’s heart through discipleship mentoring and Biblical teaching. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, and that Scripture reveals Him as the Way, the Truth, and the Life—the only way to the Father. Through the power and truth of God’s Word, we are committed to providing resources to equip believers to live transformed lives, grow in spiritual maturity, and walk boldly and faithfully in their identity and calling in Christ.
